Dr Mohd Jaki Mamat is a lecturer in Interior
Architecture Department at the School of Housing, Building & Planning,
Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang. He obtained his bachelor’s
degree from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, majoring in Interior Design. He
later completed his master’s at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Batu Pahat, Johor.
In 2014 he finished his PhD at USM in Building Conservation. His research
interests include urban heritage, heritage architecture and building
conservation. He has been an active researcher as well as a consultant at
the national and international level. He also involves in many conservation
projects of heritage buildings as conservator as well as technical advisor.
